The Mumbulla Foundation

Mumbulla Foundation is the community foundation of the Bega Valley Shire.
It raises money to give grants to local not-for-profit community organisations.
In the six years since it was formed, the Foundation has helped local community groups with grants of more than $350,000. It also distributes over $12,000 in vouchers to support needy high school students each year, in cooperation with the Sidney Myer Fund.
Its scholarships help students at the Bega campus of Wollongong University.

In 2007, the Foundation will launch a payroll deduction scheme to provide continuing financial support to many local not-for-profit groups.
Also it will help fund high school students to participate in Outward Bound adventure and life skills development programs.

Mumbulla Foundation
is a voluntary organisation, with local professionals and businesses giving in-kind support. It has almost no overhead costs and, because the Bega Valley Shire Council matches each dollar the Foundation raises (up to $25,000 each year), every dollar you give to the Foundation provides almost two dollars to help support local community groups. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible.

You might live in the region and want to give where you live. Or you might live elsewhere, but think this is a special place. Either way, you can make a difference to communities in the Bega Valley by supporting the
Mumbulla Foundation.
